    Description

This is a 1980s silicon wafer that includes several microscopic art works. It is labeled as an Echo Canceller, but I'm not sure if that is it's true function. It does appear to be some type of sophisticated processing element though as it is quite complex for the 1980s time period.
I've seen many wafers with art works before, but usually they only have one or two. I'm a Star Trek fan myself so the Starship Enterprise was really nice to see immortalized in silicon. The Enterprise is also the largest of the doodles on these chips and easy to see at 100x magnification. This wafer is also unusual in the fact that it contains a long list of names etched on the wafer. I assume these to be people involved in the design of this particular device.
This was made by Rockwell International and is part number 11483.
