    Description

For sale is a gorgeous Martin Committee III tenor saxophone with its original case, metal end plug and Martin mouthpiece!
This is a prime example Serial #181xxx 1952 Committee III with its matching serial number neck!  This horn is dead smack in the most valuable and desirable range of Martins!
This horn is in beautiful, undeniable original lacquer.  The engravings are highly detailed and ornate with deep lush American engraving up and down the bell.
These horns really are some of the most beautiful horns ever crafted, part of saxophone history hand made in Elkhart, Indiana.
As a testament to the condition of this horn check out picture #12.  These horns came from the Martin factory with a sticker full of the patent numbers above the thumb rest area. Most times these stickers are gone.   They are very rare to find and when you do find them typically the corners are so lifted that they are falling off.
This horn has its original factory patent sticker in fantastic condition just as should be!
This horn is sitting on very old pads, that being said the horn did just come from a small setup right now.
Although you can play this horn, the pads are old and I would recommend a full overhaul and pad job.
Fact is this horn will never be 100% what it can be without an overhaul, so please keep this in mind purchasing.
This horn has its fair share of scratches, knicks, dings, dents, metal wear of various red/green colors, and other anomalies associated with such an old vintage horn.
On some of the keys you can see there is red metal wear.  You can choose to have this removed if you like.
This saxophone comes with its very heavy original wood shell case.  These cases are vert valuable worth a pretty penny by them selves!
This sax comes with its original Martin tenor sax mouthpiece in fantastic condition.  These mouthpieces are great players and sell for a few hundred dollars easy by them selves if not more in this shape!
If you have been looking for a Martin Committee please do not hesitate to buy and pay over we will ship ASAP upon payment!
