Description
Offered here is 20” porcelain doll made by Franklin Mint for the Queens of England Series. This is Victoria, born on May 24, 1819 and died January 22, 1901. She became Queen of United Kingdom-Great Britain and Ireland and in June 1838 at the age of 19, and was voted by the Parliament as Empress of India in 1876. Her reign was sixty-three years, seven months. She is dressed in lovely white satin gown with heavy lace trim, ruby necklace and golden crown and wears the sash of the Order of the Garter and deep maroon robe that is satin lined with gold braid edging. There is no paperwork or original box, but the doll was acquired at the estate sale of an adult collector and doll was always displayed in lighted cabinet.
