Apple Computer EV2 PROTOTYPE Bandai Pippin Console w/ Floppy Drive & Controller

The founder of MacEffects is selling off dozens of prototypes and other rare machines to fund the development of new Apple accessories.  For an example of such accessories already produced, please view our other listings.  As such, this listing comes from his private collection and is offered for your consideration.
This listing is for a rare Apple Bandai Pippin (Japan) EV-2 prototype code named "Power-Player."  This system was purchased in Cupertino California from another collector by way of a consigner.  This unit is different in several ways when compared to the production unit.  Below lists all the included items, their differences, and condition.

Prototype Bandai Console in great shape - has stickers applied rather than silkscreen
EVT Prototype Bandai Pippin Floppy Drive in great shape - the plastic is smooth without texturing found in production, color of the retaining clip is different
DVT Prototype Bandai Pippin Controller like new condition - does not have logo on the plastic which would have been on the production mold3
Cabling in good shape
The internals were not examined but differences are probable.  The regular Pippins are now quite hard to find given their original poor sales numbers.  This console was too far ahead of its time.  This machine was tested to power on and boot only, no other testing performed.  It is being sold as a collectable display machine rather than a functional console.  Sold AS-IS no returns.  Please feel free to e-mail with questions.
