1948-49 Kohlert Winnenden Alto Saxophone Complete Rebuild March 2021.
This German made alto is a great example of a solid built vintage horn.
The horn was taken apart, received a sonic cleaning and new corks, felt and the highest quality leather pads. It retains its original metal resonators. Original Pearl touches in excellent condition. The overhaul cost exceeded 0 alone.
It has been adjusted to perfection and performs just as well as any modern horn and feels like one as well but is much lighter.
Comes with the original Kohlert neck and a bonus silver plated and engraved neck. Good solid used contoured case.
The horn body is straight showing no dents, dings or pings. the original lacquer is all intact but it shows brown and red spots throughout the horn. All of which is a natural patina.
Rolled tone holes, Blue needle springs, fast accurate action finely tuned to a professional level and left hand bell keys makes this horn very unique and collectible.
Condition is “Seller Restored”
Reason for selling is I need a more modern alto.
